International Students may directly apply to undergraduate programs at the University of Health Sciences. Students who are qualified in the last year of high school or graduated from a school equivalent to Turkish high schools may apply to undergraduate programs.

The undergraduate level is divided into the

Who can apply?
Students who have graduated from an institution equivalent to Turkish high schools and those who are in their last year at high school may apply to the undergraduate programs if they meet the application criteria below.
A. Candidates who meet the following conditions can apply:
1) International students,
2) Those holding Turkish citizenship by birth and renounced their Turkish citizenship, and their children under 18 who are listed in the renouncement document but documenting their certification for rights mentioned in the Turkish Citizenship Law, no: 5901, Item 7, stating that “Anyone born, either in Türkiye or abroad, in the marriage of a Turkish mother or father, is a Turkish citizen.” Candidates who wish to apply within the “applications from abroad” category should examine the Turkish Citizenship Law.
3) Those who hold citizenship of other countries by birth; and have gained the citizenship of The Republic of Türkiye / those who hold dual-citizenship,
4) a) Those who hold the citizenship of The Republic of Türkiye and have completed the last 3 years of their high school education in another country except The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus before 01/02/2013. (Including those who have completed their entire high school education in a Turkish high school opened in another country, except ones in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, within the scope of MEB.)
b) Those who start their high school education after 01/02/2013 in abroad, and completing entire high school education in abroad except The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. (Including those who have completed their entire high school education in a Turkish high school opened in another country, except ones in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, within the scope of MEB.)
5) Those who hold the citizenship of The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, who resides in The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and who have completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system, as well as those who have registered and completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010.
B. Applicants having the below conditions cannot apply:
1) who hold the citizenship of The Republic of Türkiye, and have completed their secondary education in Türkiye or The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,
2) who hold the citizenship of The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (except those who have completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system in TRNC, and those who have registered and completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010),
3) who hold dual citizenship, one of which is a citizenship of The Republic of Türkiye by birth, as stated in article (A) item.2 above. (except those who have completed their high school education in another country other than The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus/ those who have completed their high school education in a Turkish institution in another country other than The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus),
4) who hold dual citizenship, one of which is the citizenship of The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (except those who have completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system in TRNC, and those who have registered and completed their secondary education in a GCE AL system abroad between 2005-2010),
5) those who hold citizenship of The Republic of Türkiye or dual citizenship, one of which is the citizenship of The Republic of Türkiye by birth, as stated in the article A item.2 above, and who have completed their secondary education at institutions within an embassy or in other foreign institutions in Türkiye.
Acceptable Exams/Diplomas
Candidates should submit one of the exams/diplomas with a valid score accepted by the University. Required exams and diplomas and minimum scores advertised at the University before application start every year.
Required Documents for Application
- The copy of the exam/diploma result(s) accepted by the University (SAT, ACT, and YÖS exam.)
- If available, the copy of the High School Diploma (if in another language rather than Turkish or English, the notarized translation should also be submitted)
If taken before, copy of language proficiency exam score accepted by the University
A transfer student is expected to complete successfully at least one year (other than preparatory and support classes) of an undergraduate program in an accredited institution abroad and have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 75 out of 100. Transfer students will be considered based on the following criteria:
- Quota availability,
- High-grade contribution to the program by the candidate,
- Quality of the candidate’s academic record and achievements.
Undergraduate Transfer
Transfer applications to University OF Health Sciences from other universities are evaluated by the relevant Faculty Boards upon within the scope of the rules determined by the University and the quota, in compliance with "Instruction Letter for the Transfer among the Higher Education Institutions at the Associate's and Bachelor's Degree Programs and Credit Transfer between Institutions" published by the Turkish Higher Education Council (YOK).
General Rules for the Application Requirements:
YOK Equivalency: For the applications made from abroad; the institution, that the applicant will leave, have to be among the institutions of which equivalency is recognized by YOK.
Program Equivalency: Institution and the program which the candidate is to leave should be the equivalent of the Undergraduate Programs.
Term: Students who had completed the first two-semester of the undergraduate programs can apply. The last two-semester of the diploma programs cannot be applied.
Grade Point Average: Applicants must possess a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 70 out of 100. Candidates, applying from the universities implementing the grading system other than x out of 100, should submit an official document explaining the grading system and conversion table for the grades.
To Be Registered: Applicants must be registered in the current higher education institution as a student.
Education Period: The total periods required to complete the program and those formerly passed must not exceed the maximum education period of 14 terms
OSYM Score: For students with Turkish citizenship, who are registered in a university abroad; it is required to meet ranking condition stated in the OSYS guidebook it is required to have an equal or above central placement score from the relevant score type in the year that the student took OSYS/YKS exam, then the minimum required score for the equivalent diploma programs in Türkiye to the program that the student intend to transfer.
For the applicants who graduated from overseas high schools, it is required to attach notarized Turkish translations of their high school diploma and diploma equivalency certificate obtained from the Turkish Ministry of Education, along with the high school diploma
SUDAN NYALA
Students with a high school diploma are accepted for the current year (2020-2021) and the previous year (2018-2019). For admission, a score of at least 64% is required (Scientific Course - Department of Biology). Admission is through higher education electronically. There is an interview and aptitude test for the accepted students.
UZBEKİSTAN
Ibni Sina Faculty of Medicine Student Admission Criteria
Ibni Sina Faculty of Medicine enrolls students based on three criteria: the average grade of the diploma (30%), the entrance exam (40%) and the interview (30%). The entrance exam includes tests in mathematics, logic, chemistry, physics and biology. The exam is based on the curriculum of the Republic of Uzbekistan in accordance with the requirements of the University of Health Sciences. The interview is conducted by a panel of three academicians representing the University of Medical Sciences.
Bukhara Ibni Sina Vocational School of Health Services Student Admission Criteria
Bukhara Ibni Sina Vocational School of Health Services enrolls students based on three criteria: the average grade of the diploma (30%), the entrance exam (40%) and the interview (30%). SOMALI MOGADISHU
Somali Mogadishu Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Faculty of Health Sciences Admission Criteria
An international student examination is held for student admission to Somalia Mogadishu Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Faculty of Health Sciences. This exam consists of 20% of the diploma grade, 30% of the Turkish Language exam, and 50% of the written exam. Those who have an average score of 60% and above are ordered according to their average scores and entitled to register within the quota of the programs.
