Turkish students achieved a great success in the competition of International Pharmacy Students Federation as second competitor team in the world. There were 200 projects from 70 countries competed in this Pharmacy Innovation Competition
Among competition candidates, Ali Mirzae who is fourth-year student at University of Health Sciences Faculty of Pharmacy; Beşir Sefa Mumay, alumni of Trakya University Faculty of Pharmacy; Ömrüm Ergüven who is fifth-year student at Trakya University Faculty of Pharmacy, and Emirhan Karadeniz, a student at Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy came together and joined to this competition with their project which named “Innovative Simplified Prospectus Contributing to Rational Drug Use with Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence Applications” project as a "PharmaIno Science" competition team.
PharmaIno Science, was the unique team that was found to be able to reach the final step, performed a 10-minute online presentation. The idea of augmented reality and artificial intelligence-based project made them the second good project in the world.
The rector of Health Sciences University; Prof. Dr. Cevdet Erdöl who congratulated the "PharmaIno Science" team with the explanation of "We are pleased to see these achievements of our Faculty of Pharmacy student Ali Mirzaei and his teammates in the" INNOV8: Pharmacy Innovation Competition" on September 25, World Pharmacist Day. As being a university, it is proud of see these scientific supports. I congratulate our student Ali Mirzaei and his teammates on behalf of myself and the University of Health Sciences and wish them continued to have such valuable successes."
