Prof. Başar Cander who is the staff at University of Health Sciences (Turkey) was granted with the “Award of the Global Leadership 2020” by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). He is the Chairman of the Emergency Medicine Physicians Association of Turkey (EPAT) and the chief trainer at the Emergency Medicine Clinic at the Kanuni Sultan Suleyman Training and Research Hospital affiliated with University of Health Sciences.

Prof. Başar Cander is pleased to state that the ACEP is the most prestigious and the oldest institution in the field of emergency medicine and that is why he added that this award means a lot for Turkey, himself & team. He also added that the ACEP closely follows the experiences and efforts of emergency medicine in Turkey and that is why he is entitled to this award. Prof. Cander continued as follows: “this is a highly important award since the ACEP is the major organization of emergency medicine in the world as well as the global congress organized by the ACEP. It is deemed as an international benchmark. Thus, it is wonderful and honoring to see a Turkish figure granted with an award from such an amazing organization, on behalf of the emergency medicine community in Turkey.”
