The Board of Directors is an administrative body established to support the Rector in carrying out the administrative affairs of the University. The Board consists of the Deans of the University, under the chairmanship of the Rector, and three professors elected by the Senate for a four-year term to represent the University's various academic units and fields of study. 

The Rector convenes the Board of Directors whenever deemed necessary. Vice Rectors may participate in Board meetings; however, they do not have voting rights. 

Principal Duties 

The principal duties of the Board of Directors are as follows: 

• To assist the Rector in implementing the decisions of higher education authorities and the Senate in accordance with established plans and programs; 

• To ensure the effective implementation of institutional activity plans and programs; 

• To review the University's investment program and draft budget proposal by considering the recommendations of affiliated academic and administrative units, and to provide opinions and recommendations to the Rector regarding matters related to University administration; 

• To review appeals submitted against the decisions of the administrative boards of faculties, institutes, and schools, and to make final decisions on such matters; 

• To perform other duties assigned under Higher Education Law No. 2547.
