Double Major Program 

A Double Major Program enables a student enrolled in a bachelor's degree program (the primary major) to complete the curriculum requirements of a second bachelor's degree program concurrently. Students who successfully fulfill the academic requirements of both programs are awarded bachelor's degrees in both fields of study. 

Minor Program 

A Minor Program allows a student enrolled in a bachelor's degree program (the primary major) to complete a specified group of courses in another academic discipline concurrently with their primary program. Upon successful completion of the program requirements, the student is awarded a minor certificate rather than a second bachelor's degree. 

Eligibility Requirements 

Academic Standing 

Students demonstrating a high level of academic achievement in their primary bachelor's degree program may apply for admission to a Double Major or Minor Program. The eligibility criteria are determined by each university and may vary among institutions. 

Depending on the university's regulations, applicants may be required to: 

• Maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA), typically ranging from 2.50 to 3.00 on a 4.00scale; or 

• Rank within the top 20% of students in their primary degree program. 

Applicants must also satisfy any additional academic requirements established by the relevant faculty or department. 

Application Period 

Students may apply to a Double Major Program no earlier than the third semester and no later than the fifth semester of their primary bachelor's degree program. Application periods for Minor Programs are determined by the relevant university in accordance with its academic regulations. 

Credit Requirements 

The number of additional credits required for completion varies depending on the university and the academic program. 

In general, a Double Major Program requires substantially more coursework than a Minor Program. For example, one university may require students to complete 40 additional credits for a Double Major and 18 additional credits for a Minor, while another institution may require 36 and 15 additional credits, respectively. 

Academic Standing 

Students enrolled in a Double Major or Minor Program are required to maintain the minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) specified by the relevant university throughout their studies. If a student's cumulative GPA in the primary bachelor's degree program falls below the required minimum, their enrollment in the Double Major or Minor Program may be terminated in accordance with the university's academic regulations. 

At present, the University does not have any students enrolled in a Double Major or Minor Program.
