About Us

The University of Health Sciences Gülhane First Aid Training Center commenced its activities in 2025 upon obtaining an official accreditation from the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate. 

Our Center organizes first aid training programs for the general public, with the understanding that correct and conscious intervention in emergency situations saves lives. Our mission is to enable individuals to act with accurate knowledge and practical skills calmly and confidently during medical emergencies. 

Our training programs are conducted in compliance with the standards of the Ministry of Health, and participants who successfully complete the program are awarded a First Aid Certificate and a First Aid Certification Card approved by the Provincial Health Directorate.

Our Training Program

Our Basic First Aid Training program is a 2-day, 16-hour program. The training sessions are conducted through lecture and hands-on practice. 

The program content is modeled after the core modules of the First Aid Training Book published by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Health. 

The core curriculum includes: 

  • General first aid knowledge 
  • Body systems 
  • Emergency transportation techniques 
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use 
  • Basic life support 
  • Airway obstructions 
  • Altered mental status and medical emergencies 
  • Hemorrhages 
  • Shock and cardiac emergencies 
  • Injuries 
  • Drowning 
  • Fractures, dislocations, and sprains 
  • Animal bites and insect stings 
  • Poisoning emergencies 
  • Burns, cold and heat emergencies 
  • Foreign body airway obstruction 

Why First Aid Training?

In situations such as unexpected accidents, cardiac arrest, airway obstructions, severe bleeding, or loss of consciousness, the first few minutes are critical. Proper intervention performed until professional healthcare teams arrive significantly improves survival rates. 

First aid training is more than just a credential; it is a responsibility, an awareness, and a competency to save lives in critical moments. 

Certification Process

At the end of the training, theoretical and practical examinations are administered. Successful participants are awarded the following, approved by the Provincial Health Directorate:

  • First Aider Certificate
  • First Aider Identity Card
